Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana (MHANI) is growing our team. We are seeking leaders that are mission-driven and enthusiastic advocates for mental health recovery, the prevention of suicide, and building supportive communities for individuals and families. The positions listed below are for new and expanding programs and services. Many of these positions may be adapted for full-time or part-time employment. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and education.
Parent Facilitator – Community Based – Kosciusko County
Parent Facilitators (PFs) are an integral part of MHANI’s Parent Café and Family Support programs. PFs lead small group discussions during Parent Café meetings, supporting parents, redirecting participants’ discussions as needed, and assisting the Parent Café Coordinator in ensuring fidelity to the Parent Café model. The PF ideally has lived experience supporting a child who has faced a mental health condition or disability. PFs may also be asked to provide resources or other supportive services to families.
Required qualifications include: high school diploma/GED; have a child or be in an active parenting role, preference given to parents of a child who has utilized mental health/disability services; ability to engage with parents using a strength-based and solution oriented approach; excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and non-verbal); and ability to respect and interact with diverse families.
